Terms of Service

These terms govern residential and commercial services provided by The Scoop Troop.

Effective Date: August 14, 2026

These Terms of Service govern services provided by The Scoop Troop, LLC, doing business as The Scoop Troop (“The Scoop Troop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By requesting, purchasing, scheduling, or receiving services from The Scoop Troop, or by accepting these Terms electronically, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Terms.

1. Services Covered

The Scoop Troop may provide residential, HOA, apartment-community, dog-park, property-management, and commercial pet-waste services, including:

  • Recurring and one-time dog-waste removal
  • Initial and accumulated-waste cleanups
  • Common-area and dog-park patrols
  • Pet-waste station rental, supply, installation, servicing, and maintenance
  • Waste-bag and liner restocking
  • Deodorizing and sanitizing treatments
  • Offsite waste removal when included in the service plan
  • Property inspections, service reports, and related services

The specific services, service areas, frequency, pricing, and disposal method included in your account will be stated in your quote, service plan, proposal, work order, or other written confirmation.

For commercial customers, a signed proposal or service agreement controls if it expressly conflicts with these general Terms.

2. No Long-Term Contract

Residential recurring service is provided month to month unless otherwise stated in writing.

There is no required long-term commitment. Customers may cancel recurring service in accordance with Section 27 of these Terms.

These Terms govern how service is provided; they do not require a residential Customer to remain enrolled for a fixed long-term period.

3. Authority to Approve Service

By approving service, you represent that you:

  • Are at least 18 years old;
  • Own the property or have authority to authorize service there;
  • Have authority to provide access instructions and approve charges; and
  • Have provided accurate information about the property, animals, service areas, and known hazards.

Property managers, HOA representatives, tenants, and other representatives must have authorization from the property owner or responsible organization.

4. Quotes and Pricing

Pricing may be based on factors including:

  • Number of dogs
  • Service frequency
  • Property size and layout
  • Number of service areas
  • Unusual initial accumulation or additional cleanup work, where applicable
  • Accessibility and walking conditions
  • Number of pet-waste stations
  • Disposal requirements
  • Deodorizing or sanitizing needs
  • Equipment, supplies, or installation requirements

Quotes and estimates are based on information provided by the Customer and conditions reasonably known when they are prepared. A recurring residential online estimate is preliminary until the New Customer Walkthrough confirms the property, approved service areas, and final recurring price.

If actual conditions or requested scope differ materially from the estimate, we may revise the price before beginning or continuing the affected work. We will request approval before performing work that creates a material additional charge.

5. Service Areas

We clean the areas identified and approved in the Customer’s service plan. These may include backyards, front yards, side yards, dog runs, separately enclosed areas, common areas, walking paths, dog parks, and other designated spaces.

The Customer must disclose every area that requires service. Areas not included in the quote or service plan may require an additional charge.

If another service area is added later, we will confirm any pricing change before expanding service.

6. Initial Cleanups

New residential customers may receive their first standard cleanup at no charge when a current promotion applies. Promotion eligibility is governed by the Promotion Terms in effect when service is activated. When practical, the New Customer Walkthrough and promotional first cleanup will occur during the same visit.

For residential activation, the Customer or another authorized adult must be present for the New Customer Walkthrough. Before any promotional cleanup begins, the Customer must approve the final service plan and recurring price, accept these Terms, authorize recurring billing, and securely add a valid payment method.

A promotional first cleanup covers the standard first service needed to begin normal recurring maintenance. If unusual conditions require materially more work than the standard promotional cleanup includes, we will explain the additional work and obtain approval before performing or charging for it.

If the first cleanup cannot be completed during the walkthrough because of weather, access, animal safety, route timing, property conditions, or another operational issue, it may be scheduled separately. Normal recurring service begins after the approved service areas have been brought to a normal maintenance condition.

7. Service Frequency and Scheduling

Available service schedules may include:

  • Twice weekly
  • Weekly
  • Every other week
  • Monthly
  • One-time service

Recurring service is scheduled by service day rather than by an exact appointment time. The New Customer Walkthrough is arranged separately with the Customer. Routes, traffic, weather, property conditions, staffing, and other operational factors may affect recurring-service arrival time.

We will normally send a service-related text when the assigned Scoop Trooper is approximately 60 minutes away for a recurring visit. This notice is an estimate and does not guarantee arrival at a precise time.

8. Permission to Enter the Property

After activation, the Customer authorizes The Scoop Troop and its employees, contractors, and approved service partners to enter the agreed service areas on scheduled service days.

The Customer does not need to be present for routine recurring service unless otherwise arranged. The residential New Customer Walkthrough is subject to the presence requirement in Section 6.

The Customer is responsible for providing accurate gate codes, keys, access instructions, parking instructions, security procedures, and any other information reasonably necessary to access the property.

9. Gates and Access

Gates and entry points must be unlocked, accessible, safe, and functional on the scheduled service day.

After completing residential service, we will use reasonable care to close and secure any gate used for access. When applicable, we will send a photograph showing the gate after service.

The Customer is responsible for maintaining gates, fences, latches, locks, and access equipment in safe working condition. The Scoop Troop is not responsible for a failure caused by a preexisting defect, broken latch, damaged fence, faulty automatic gate, or inaccurate access instruction.

If we cannot access the property because of a locked gate, incorrect code, obstruction, unsafe condition, animal, or another issue within the Customer’s control, the visit may be charged as scheduled.

10. Dogs and Other Animals

Friendly dogs may be able to remain outside during routine service. However, if there is any chance a dog may be uncomfortable with a stranger in the yard, the Customer must secure the dog before we enter.

Our Scoop Troopers have sole discretion to determine whether entering or remaining in an area with an animal is safe.

If a Scoop Trooper feels threatened or unsafe, the Scoop Trooper may leave immediately. A visit interrupted or prevented by an unsecured or unsafe animal may still be charged.

The Customer is responsible for injuries, escapes, or other losses caused by an animal that was not properly secured, known safety information that was not disclosed, a defective enclosure, or failure to follow reasonable safety instructions. This does not excuse harm caused by The Scoop Troop’s own failure to use reasonable care.

11. Property Conditions and Hidden Waste

We will make a reasonable and thorough effort to locate visible dog waste in the approved service areas.

Tall grass, heavy leaves, standing water, mud, debris, landscaping, construction materials, animal burrows, dense vegetation, inadequate lighting, and other obstructions may make waste difficult or unsafe to locate.

Service areas must be reasonably maintained and safe to walk. We do not guarantee the removal of waste that is concealed, inaccessible, submerged, buried, mixed with debris, or otherwise not reasonably visible.

If conditions are unsafe or prevent meaningful service, we may stop or decline the visit. The scheduled visit may still be charged when the condition was within the Customer’s control.

12. Hazardous or Prohibited Materials

Standard service covers ordinary dog waste.

We may decline to handle human waste, medical waste, needles, chemicals, dead animals, animal remains, heavily contaminated materials, unknown substances, or any material that reasonably appears dangerous or outside the agreed service.

The Customer must disclose known hazards, including exposed wiring, unstable surfaces, aggressive animals, pest infestations, irrigation hazards, chemicals, sharp objects, and unsafe structures.

13. Waste Disposal

Unless otherwise stated in the service plan, collected waste will be securely double-bagged and placed in the Customer’s designated outdoor trash container or approved commercial dumpster.

The Customer is responsible for providing lawful access to the designated container.

When offsite waste removal is included, The Scoop Troop may transport the sealed waste directly or arrange transportation through an approved or permitted waste-service partner.

If the agreed onsite container is unavailable and offsite removal is not included, we may adjust the disposal method, leave the sealed waste at a previously approved location, or contact the Customer before completing service.

Any additional disposal charge must be approved unless it was already included in the service plan.

14. Equipment Sanitation

We disinfect reusable waste-removal tools after each property using our standard equipment-cleaning procedures.

Equipment disinfection is intended to reduce the transfer of waste and contaminants between properties. It does not guarantee the complete elimination of every microorganism, parasite, allergen, or disease-causing agent.

15. Deodorizing and Sanitizing Treatments

Deodorizing and sanitizing treatments may be purchased as one-time services or recurring additions.

The Customer must follow any instructions concerning drying time, access restrictions, pets, children, plants, furniture, or treated surfaces.

Deodorizing is intended to reduce odors but does not guarantee permanent odor elimination.

Sanitizing treatments are not represented as sterilization and do not guarantee the elimination of every bacterium, virus, parasite, allergen, or other contaminant.

The Customer must disclose known allergies, sensitivities, delicate landscaping, specialty surfaces, or other conditions that may affect treatment selection.

16. Pet-Waste Stations and Installations

Commercial services may include pet-waste station rental programs, station sales, installation, restocking, cleaning, inspection, repair, and maintenance.

Installation is subject to site approval, accessibility, soil conditions, utility-location requirements, irrigation systems, private wiring, invisible fencing, landscaping, and other site conditions.

The property representative must disclose known private irrigation lines, electrical lines, communication lines, invisible fencing, drainage systems, and other privately installed features that may not appear through a public utility-location service.

Rental terms, equipment ownership, purchase prices, installation charges, warranties, and replacement responsibilities will be stated in the applicable commercial proposal or service agreement.

17. Commercial Service Requirements

Commercial customers must provide:

  • Accurate maps or descriptions of all service areas
  • Access to approved disposal containers unless offsite removal is included
  • Accurate station counts and locations
  • Safe access to common areas and dog parks
  • A current property contact
  • Notice of construction, landscaping, events, hazards, or access changes

Commercial service reports may document completed areas, serviced stations, supply levels, unusual accumulation, damage, access problems, and other relevant property conditions.

Commercial pricing or scope may be revised if the property size, station count, service frequency, waste volume, disposal method, or requested services materially change, subject to the applicable signed proposal or service agreement.

18. Weather and Operational Delays

Light or moderate rain will not normally prevent service.

We may delay, reschedule, shorten, or suspend service because of lightning, severe weather, flooding, hurricanes, tropical storms, unsafe heat, government orders, road closures, emergencies, equipment failures, staffing disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will communicate material delays and make a reasonable effort to complete service when conditions allow.

If we cannot complete a missed visit before the next regularly scheduled visit, we will provide an appropriate account credit unless the visit was prevented by the Customer, the property, an animal, or an access problem.

19. Holidays and Temporary Schedule Changes

Holiday weeks and route-wide operational needs may require temporary changes to normal service days.

We will provide advance notice whenever reasonably possible. A temporary schedule adjustment does not constitute a missed visit when service is completed within the adjusted service period.

20. Service Communications

The Customer authorizes The Scoop Troop to send service-related communications by telephone, text message, email, account notification, or another contact method provided by the Customer.

Service-related communications may include:

  • Arrival notices
  • Access questions
  • Gate photographs
  • Completion notices
  • Weather delays
  • Schedule changes
  • Billing notices
  • Safety concerns
  • Account and service updates

Standard carrier messaging and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive service-related messages does not constitute consent to receive unrelated promotional text messages. Marketing messages will be sent only when separately authorized or otherwise permitted by law.

21. Photographs and Service Documentation

The Scoop Troop may photograph gates, service areas, pet-waste stations, equipment, property conditions, hazards, or completed work for service verification, quality control, training, dispute resolution, and account documentation.

We will make reasonable efforts to avoid photographing people, private interior areas, confidential documents, or unrelated personal property.

Customer-specific photographs will not be used in public advertising or social-media content without separate permission, except when identifying details have been removed or use is otherwise permitted by law.

22. Satisfaction and Missed Areas

Customers should report a possible missed area within 24 hours after service and provide reasonable information or photographs showing the concern when practical.

If we reasonably missed waste within the agreed service area under normal service conditions, we will make a reasonable effort to return and correct the area at no additional charge.

The reservice commitment does not apply to:

  • New waste deposited after service
  • Waste hidden by tall grass, leaves, water, debris, or obstructions
  • Areas not included in the service plan
  • Areas that were inaccessible or unsafe
  • Conditions outside our reasonable control

Reservice is the primary remedy for an ordinary missed-area complaint.

23. Changes in Dogs, Property, or Service Needs

The Customer must promptly notify us of changes that may affect service, including:

  • Adding or losing a dog
  • Changes in animal behavior
  • New gates or access codes
  • Additional service areas
  • Construction or landscaping
  • Changes to disposal access
  • Changes in property ownership or management

A change in dog count, property size, waste volume, frequency, or service scope may result in a pricing adjustment. We will provide notice before applying a material recurring-price change.

24. Payment Authorization and Billing

Recurring residential customers are normally billed automatically on the first day of each month using the payment method saved to the account.

By enrolling in recurring service, the Customer authorizes The Scoop Troop and its payment processor to store the selected payment method and charge the recurring price, approved additions, applicable taxes, and other disclosed charges according to the billing schedule shown before activation.

When a promotional first cleanup applies, the amount due for the standard promotional cleanup is $0. The Customer must still accept the service agreement, authorize recurring billing, and add a valid payment method before that cleanup begins.

After the next completed recurring cleanup, the saved payment method will be charged the disclosed prorated amount for the paid recurring visits remaining in that calendar month, including the completed visit. Regular full-month billing begins on the first day of the following month.

If no paid recurring visit remains in the activation month after the promotional cleanup, no prorated charge will be made and regular billing will begin on the next first day of the month.

Before activation, the Customer will be shown the amount due that day, any upcoming prorated charge, the regular monthly price, and the date regular monthly billing begins.

Initial cleanups not covered by a promotion, one-time services, equipment, installations, commercial deposits, and special projects may be billed separately according to the applicable quote or proposal.

The Customer is responsible for keeping payment information current.

25. Failed or Rejected Payments

If a payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or otherwise unpaid, we may:

  • Notify the Customer;
  • Retry the authorized payment method;
  • Request another payment method;
  • Suspend upcoming service; or
  • Cancel the account.

The Scoop Troop does not charge a failed-payment fee.

The Customer remains responsible for completed services and other valid charges. Service may remain suspended until the account is brought current.

26. Skipped Visits and Vacation Pauses

A request to skip a scheduled visit should be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled service day.

A request received later may still be charged because labor and route time have already been reserved.

A customer-requested skipped visit does not automatically create a refund or account credit because recurring pricing reserves an ongoing position on the service route.

Vacation pauses and extended holds must be requested in advance and are not effective until confirmed by The Scoop Troop. Any billing adjustment for an approved extended pause will be confirmed when the pause is arranged.

When a pause allows substantial waste to accumulate, an additional cleanup charge may apply when service resumes. Any material additional charge will be disclosed for approval before work begins.

27. Cancellation of Recurring Service

The Customer may cancel recurring service at any time without a long-term cancellation penalty.

The Customer may cancel through the same method and means used to accept recurring service. We may also accept cancellation through other available methods, including the Customer’s online account, email, telephone, or text message.

To avoid the next monthly recurring charge, cancellation must be received before the next billing date.

When recurring service is canceled after the monthly payment has been processed, the Customer will receive a prorated refund for recurring service that will not be provided during the remainder of the billing period.

The prorated refund may be reduced by:

  • Services already completed during the billing period
  • Scheduled visits that remain chargeable under Section 26
  • Approved additions, equipment, or special-order supplies
  • Outstanding account balances
  • Other valid charges incurred before cancellation became effective

Any applicable refund will be returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible.

Cancellation does not eliminate responsibility for services already completed or other valid charges incurred before cancellation became effective.

28. Cancellation or Refusal by The Scoop Troop

We may suspend, refuse, or terminate service because of:

  • Unsafe animals or threatening behavior
  • Unsafe or unlawful property conditions
  • Repeated access failures
  • Nonpayment
  • Fraud, abuse, harassment, or discrimination
  • Materially inaccurate account information
  • Service areas outside our capacity or coverage
  • Repeated violations of these Terms
  • Regulatory or disposal restrictions
  • Any condition that makes continued service unreasonable or unsafe

When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Immediate suspension or termination may occur when safety, legality, or serious misconduct is involved.

The Customer remains responsible for valid charges incurred before termination.

29. Property Damage and Claims

The Scoop Troop will use reasonable care while performing service.

Any claimed property damage should be reported within 48 hours after the applicable visit, together with photographs and a description when reasonably available, so the condition can be investigated promptly.

The Customer must provide a reasonable opportunity for us or our insurer to inspect and investigate the condition before repair, replacement, alteration, or disposal.

We are not responsible for ordinary wear, preexisting damage, hidden defects, defective gates or fences, unstable landscaping, unmarked private lines, animal damage, weather damage, or conditions not caused by our failure to use reasonable care.

Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

30. Service Limitations

Dog-waste removal reduces visible waste but does not guarantee that a property will be completely free of fecal material, parasites, bacteria, insects, odors, allergens, or disease.

Standard dog-waste removal is intended to collect solid or reasonably retrievable waste using normal scooping equipment. We will make a reasonable effort to collect loose or sticky stool when it can be removed without spreading contamination or damaging the service area.

Liquid, smeared, rubbed-in, absorbed, or otherwise non-retrievable stool may leave residue. Standard service does not include washing, hosing, scrubbing, pressure washing, stain removal, or restoration of grass, soil, artificial turf, patios, furniture, or other surfaces.

Outdoor environments change continuously, and animals may deposit new waste immediately after service.

Except for express promises contained in the applicable service plan and these Terms, services are provided without any guarantee of a particular health, environmental, landscaping, pest-control, or property-value result.

31. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Scoop Troop will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the services, including lost profits, loss of use, business interruption, emotional distress, or loss of data.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability resulting from gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or other conduct for which limitation is prohibited by law.

Any additional limitation or insurance requirement applicable to a commercial account must be stated in the signed commercial agreement.

32. Customer Responsibility

The Customer is responsible for losses, injuries, expenses, or claims to the extent caused by:

  • An undisclosed or unsecured aggressive animal
  • A dangerous or unlawful property condition
  • Inaccurate access or service instructions
  • Failure to disclose known hazards
  • Lack of authority to approve the service
  • Misuse of installed equipment or supplied materials
  • The Customer’s violation of these Terms

This section does not make the Customer responsible for harm caused by The Scoop Troop’s negligence or misconduct.

33. Third-Party Providers

We may use employees, independent contractors, payment processors, equipment suppliers, software providers, permitted waste haulers, or other qualified service partners to support or perform portions of the service.

The Scoop Troop remains responsible for managing the Customer’s agreed service, subject to the terms of any disclosed third-party product warranty or commercial arrangement.

34. Privacy and Payment Information

We may collect and use contact information, property information, animal information, access instructions, service photographs, account records, and payment-related information to operate the service.

Payment transactions may be processed by a third-party payment provider. The Customer may also be subject to that provider’s privacy and security terms.

We will use reasonable administrative and technical practices appropriate to the size and nature of the business, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Our separate Privacy Policy provides additional information about how personal information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed.

35. Informal Dispute Resolution

Before filing a lawsuit concerning these Terms or the services, the parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute directly.

A written dispute notice should describe:

  • The Customer and property involved
  • The service date or transaction
  • The nature of the dispute
  • The requested resolution
  • Supporting photographs or documents

The parties will have 30 days after receipt of the notice to attempt an informal resolution.

This section does not prevent either party from pursuing a qualifying claim in small-claims court or requesting urgent relief when reasonably necessary.

36. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires another location, legal proceedings relating to these Terms or the services must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Pinellas County, Florida.

37. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in services, operations, technology, insurance, pricing practices, or legal requirements.

Material changes will be communicated by email, account notice, website notice, or another reasonable method before they take effect.

Material changes apply prospectively. A Customer who does not agree to a material update may cancel recurring service before the update takes effect; continued service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

38. Electronic Records and Acceptance

The Customer agrees that these Terms, quotes, invoices, notices, photographs, service reports, approvals, and signatures may be created, delivered, accepted, and stored electronically.

Electronic acceptance, including checking an acceptance box, signing electronically, clicking an approval button, or otherwise affirmatively accepting the service, has the same intended effect as a handwritten signature.

Customers should retain a copy of these Terms and their service confirmation for their records.

39. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, together with the applicable quote, service plan, proposal, work order, applicable Promotion Terms, and Privacy Policy, constitute the complete agreement concerning the services unless the parties sign a separate written agreement.

Headings are provided for convenience and do not change the meaning of these Terms.
